Rising South has shared plans for music and student-centered performance exploring resilience and purpose. An earlier announcement listed an October 4, 2026 concert at the Orion Amphitheater. That announcement is preserved as history, not as a current event listing. The proposed youth-centered presentation explores a journey from pain to purpose through music, dance, art, drama, and fashion.
Dr. Muhammad’s historical drama for the stage, listed in her creative work in 2011. Its place in Rising South’s community programming can be described further when event details are confirmed.
Creative work across formats
Dr. Muhammad’s CV also lists the stage plays Rise, Angie, Rise and This Land is Your Land, the short film The Ninevah Projects, and the 2016 film Making Mary. These works show how her storytelling extends beyond books.
